DHARMADHATU
The term ‘Dharmadhatu’ has different meanings depending on the context it is used. The literal meaning of the term is explained as “Source of the Dharmas” or “elements of the Dharmas.” It an nonsenuous element perceived when we are free of thought constructs.
According to the Swayambhu Purana text, the words Swayambhu, Dharmadhatu, Sunyarupa are used as synonyms. Swayambhu is defined as “self-existent wisdom” or “primordial awareness.” When manifested in physical form, it is known as the Adi Buddha. In the Nispannayogavali Dharmadhatu Mandala it is described in great detail. The chief deity of this mandala is Manjughosha, the representative of Primordial Awareness with four faces and eight arms. A large number of deities are included in this mandala. The devotee is asked to visualize this mandala in a developing stage of meditation. Through this practice a devotee is able to swiftly accumulate the merits and wisdom necessary for the attainment of Buddhahood.

ダルマダトゥ
ダルマダトゥは状況により違う意味を持つ。文字通りの意味は“ダルマの源”もしくは“ダルマの原則”である。我々が自由に考えると訳の分からない要素に気づく。スワヤンブーの聖なるサンスクリットの書物によるとスワヤンブー、ダルマダトゥ、スニヤルーパは同義語である。スワヤンブーは“自然に現存する知恵”もしくは“原始的意義”と定義づけられる。“物理的形をとる時はアディブッダとして知られる。Nispannayogavali ダルマダトゥマンダラの中で詳しく述べられている。このマンダラの主要な神はマンジュゴーシャで、４つの顔と８本の腕を持ち、原始的意義を代表する。大勢の神々がこのマンダラの中に含まれる。敬虔な信者は、瞑想の高まりつつある段階の中で、このマンダラを視覚化することを求められる。修行を通して、信者は仏教徒として得るべき知恵をすみやかに蓄積する。
