KUBERA
Kubera is the Lord of Wealth and Guardian of the Northern Direction. According to Hindu mythology it is said that for having performed austerities for a thousand years, Bramha gave Kubera immortality and made him the God of Wealth and guardian of all earthly treasures — which he is required to distribute according to the destiny of its receivers. Kubera’s dwelling place was believed to abound in wealth and magnigicence and exist on Alaka in the Himalayas. Buddhists also worship Kubera.

クベラ
クベラは富の神で、北部地域の守護者である。ヒンズー教の神話によると、数千年の耐乏生活を送り、ブラフマはクベラを不死の富の神にして、現世の宝物の守護者にした。彼はそれを受け取るべく定められた人々に配らなくてはならなかった。クベラの住居はヒマラヤのアラカにあり、富にあふれ、雄大な所にあると信じられていた。仏教徒もクベラを崇拝している。
